Celebrating Tongan Language Week

Mālō e lelei

This term, we celebrated Tongan Language Week and we were very excited and fortunate to learn from our very own Rm 16 students, Paea, Edward and Deborah.  These students are fluent Tongan speakers and were more than happy to share their language and culture, with us! Well done for showing your Tongan pride and for sharing your knowledge with us.  Your families would be very proud of you!

Tae Kwon Do

In Term 3, Room 16 students have been very fortunate to learn about Tae Kwon Do, a Korean martial art form.  The students have quickly learnt that this art form requires a lot of discipline, jumping and spinning, learning fast kicking techniques and most importantly, the art of listening.  Many thanks to our Tae Kwon Do instructor, Master Steve.

Awesome participation Room 16!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS ROOM 16, for your superb effort during the Adidas Fun Run, this term.  Well done preparing for the run.  All those practise runs, the skipping and stretching, really did help you on the day! Give yourselves a big, pat on the back! Congratulations to our awesome Rm 16 girls, Zoe and Presayus for their first place positions in the Yr 5 and Yr 6 Girls runs. An amazing effort by everyone!
